During your stay at Richards Pond do take a look at close by Crescent Beach, and whitewater paddling is great on Royal River. This is a delightful neighborhood for people who like lakes. Great Pond is a lake in the neighborhood, and Alewife Brook is in the vicinity of Richards Pond and is always a pleasure to take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is perfect at Lost Valley, and a fine       sight of striking Blue Hill is available. There are plenty of folks from Portland-South Portland here at Richards Pond, and Richards Pond is a wonderful location to camp, Bayley's Camping Resort is a wonderful location. After a long day outdoors The Higgins Beach Inn is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and Adams Head is reasonably close. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Richards Pond. Time spent at Cliff House                  Beach next to Richards Pond is always good, and since you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Pleasant Hill Golf Course. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Richards Pond. The high level of rainfall makes Richards Pond a reasonably wet site; November is the wettest month with most rain while August is usually the driest month. For the period of the summertime highs here at Richards Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Richards Pond plunge into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Eastland Park Hotel, and paddling on Chandler Brook is so much fun.
