The peak of Owls Head can be made out from Redington Pond, and the slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting noone can resist. There's perfect hiking along the Arnolds Trail, and if you came to camp Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a fine location to do that. High       temperatures at Redington Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Redington Pond descend into the 0's. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Redington Pond is unbeatable! Sandy River is a good whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Redington Pond;                  a lake close by is Hammond Pond. Go for a hike on the Fire Warden Trail, obviously you could also explore Cold Brook if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Redington Pond Outlet, and you can run the rapids of Carrabasset. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bigelow Range Trail; what would winter be without some skiing at Saddleback.
