If you need a place to stay Herbert Grand Hotel is a perfect choice; Redington Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground is a glorious local campground. The peak of Owls Head can be made out from Redington Pond, and the slopes of Sugarloaf USA are so inviting noone can resist. There's perfect hiking along the Arnolds Trail, and if you came to camp Deer Farms Camps and Campground is a fine location to do that. High

a lake close by is Hammond Pond. Go for a hike on the Fire Warden Trail, obviously you could also explore Cold Brook if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Redington Pond Outlet, and you
can run the rapids of Carrabasset. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Bigelow Range Trail; what would winter be without some skiing at Saddleback. Redington Pond gets a normal amount of rain; through November this area sees the most snow; February meanwhile is the driest month.
