     At Redington Pond you can catch a glimpse of Potato Hill; on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Piazza Rock Trail. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Sandy River; going for a hike on the Fire Warden Trail is always a good adventure. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Redington Pond; during the month of November you get the most snow around here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you get  
   bored of Redington Pond, you could also check out close by Caribou Pond, and you can stay the night at Crocker Mountain Cirque Campground.
And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable things just keep reading. There's whitewater on Orbeton Stream for all you adrenaline people, and after a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Herbert Grand Hotel is a great site to get some rest;
 
               there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Bigelow Range Trail.
Everybody nearby loves skiing at Sugarloaf USA, and Beal Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Through the warm months highs here at Redington Pond get into the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Redington Pond. Saddleback is a wonderful local ski area. There's so much to do here at Redington Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Black Arrow Lodge is a great spot for that.

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....
