From a precipitation point of view Rangeley Lake is a pretty typical place; the wettest month of the year is generally August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Rangeley Lake. There's tremendous hiking along the Milrose Trail, and of course, this is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Dodge Pond is a lake close by. Some of the water nearby flows, like Quimby Brook; if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Evergreen Golf Club & Golf School is in the neighborhood.

Just can't get enough of the White Mountains. If you're here at Rangeley Lake, do take a visit to Hunter Cove; Kennebago River is a great whitewater spot nearby.

Bugeye Pond

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
