If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Rainbow Lake Dam, and a delightful site to camp here at Rainbow Lake is Chimney Pond Campground. Rainbow Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is February. Go for a hike on the Abol Trail; needless to say, this is a glorious area for people who like lakes, Buck Pond is a lake in the

| | neighborhood. If you come at the right time of year, Penobscot River - West Branch offers some good whitewater, and going for a hike on the Old Telos Tote Road is always a magnificent adventure. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Moosehead Lake, and everyone close by loves skiing at Big Squaw. This lake is so wonderful. Brook which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. Just can't get enough of Rainbow Lake. You're possibly interested in lakes, Collins Pond is one of those close by, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on
Nahmakanta Stream. Throughout the warm days of summer at Rainbow Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's
overnight here at Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Near Rainbow Lake you locate the Blue Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail.
