    It's always fun to stop by Ragged Lake. The scenery at Ragged Lake Dam close to Ragged Lake is charming, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail. Stay the night at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground, and the Gulf Hagas Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. Ragged Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month is February.
For the duration of the warm months at
 
   Ragged Lake highs are regularly in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while Ragged Lake nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two. Float down the rapids of Roach River in a kayak, and why not check out close by Black Brook while you're here at Ragged Lake.

               lake is so wonderful. Ragged Lake is a great location to visit for more than one day, Frost Pond Campground is a great location to camp nearby, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail. Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good place to get some rest, and lakes are such serene places, why not pop by Bear Pond. And that's not all you can do here at Ragged Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Pleasant River - West Branch offers some great whitewater, and Big Squaw is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.
