A visit to Quakish Lake is always a good idea. From a precipitation point of view Quakish Lake is a pretty typical spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Gray Ledge Dam Trail. A wonderful lake like Ferguson Lake right next door to Quakish Lake is a great place to stop

Very nice water scenery is available at Quakish Dam right next door to Quakish Lake; Comstock Brook is in close proximity to Quakish Lake and is always a delight to go to. Summertime highs at Quakish Lake usually tend to be in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. | |

Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Quakish Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Here at Quakish Lake there are plenty of people from Bangor; you'll discover a scenic lake
called Twin Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Shack Hill is easily seen from Quakish Lake, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hillcrest Golf Club is in the neighborhood. You just can't picture
the amount of outdoors exciting things the area right next door to Quakish Lake has to offer. If you came to camp Allagash Gateway Campsite is a perfect place to do that, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Ragged
Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Quakish Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hidden Springs Campground is a brilliant site for that; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but
if it's for you then, we recommend Penobscot River - West Branch. While you're here at Quakish Lake you can take a hike along the Cedar Lake Trail; swamps don’t sound that delightful but Quakish Bog near Quakish Lake is reasonably delightful.
