     Here at Punchbowl Pond you can catch a sight of Little Russell Mountain, and Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great site to get some rest. You could also stop by Foss Pond while you're here at Punchbowl Pond; it's close by, and you can run the rapids of Piscataquis River - West Branch. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Punchbowl Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's  
   overnight here at Punchbowl Pond. Punchbowl Pond is a wet place that gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There's so much to do here at Punchbowl Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wildwood Shores Campground is a great location for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Punchbowl Pond; Intake Trail is a nice local
 
               trail. A splendid site for whitewater paddling near Punchbowl Pond is Kingsbury Stream, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. And if that's not enough, there's heaps more to do in the neighborhood of Punchbowl Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Punchbowl Pond has to offer, you can camp at Balsam woods Campground; Blackstone Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at.
This lake is so wonderful. Punchbowl Pond is not the only site close by, Whetstone Pond is a close by lake; dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
