Carter Bluff is an attention-grabbing spot to check out while at Pug Hole, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Pug Hole; Lead Mountain Trail is a splendid local trail. A fine panorama of pretty Black Cap Mountain is available from Pug Hole, and a good close by hotel is Comfort Inn Ellsworth.       The high level of rainfall makes Pug Hole a quite wet place; throughout November this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Great Pond, and there's delightful hiking along the Peaked Mountain Trail. This place is so good, just explore all the fun things to do near Pug Hole.
