Prong Pond is a good spot of normal precipitation; most of the rain falls through July, and February on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Prong Pond, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs       are regularly in the 20's; nighttime lows at Prong Pond during the winter generally drop into the-10's. You can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Big Squaw, and close by you hit upon the Big Squaw Mountain Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Bingham Motor Inn is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Prong Pond is not the only place close by, Little Mud Pond is a close by lake, and                  whitewater paddling is great on Roach River. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Prong Pond has to offer, you can camp at Casey's Spencer Bay Campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Beaver Creek. After a long day outdoors Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Prong Pond that you need to camp here for a while, South Inlet Campground is a great spot for that. But wait, there's more to do next to Prong Pond.
