There's so much to do here at Popple Flowage that you need to camp here for a while, Hilltop Campground is a delightful site for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Popple Flowage a wet place; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into       a kayak and hit Dennys River, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Vose Pond. Just can't get enough of Popple Flowage. Very perfect water scenery is available at Popple Flowage Dam right next door to Popple Flowage; a quick trip to East Branch Magurrewock Stream is positively a wonderful idea. Through the long summer days, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Popple Flowage; the night is fairly colder of course, mostly                  in the 50's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Popple Flowage dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Popple Flowage is great enough to spend more than a day at, Chet's Camps is a great local campground, and on a gorgeous day you get a magnificent sight of Magurrewock Mountain from Popple Flowage.
