Near Pond in the River you locate the Table Rock Trail which is a glorious hiking trail; Cupsuptic Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. The White Mountains scenery is always beautiful. From a precipitation point of view Pond in the River is a relatively typical location; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while  
   February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
High temperatures at Pond in the River through the summer months are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Pond in the River are in the-10's. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Middle Dam, and if you get bored of Pond in the River you could also have a look at nearby Lower Richardson Lake.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. There is a glorious hiking trail near Pond in the River called the Old Magalloway Trail, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Swift Cambridge River.
Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a good site to get some rest, and you are close to Jackson Point since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Sunday River is close to Pond in the River, and swing by Blackcat Brook it's a great place to go to. If you need a site to stay Sunday River is a magnificent choice.
All the outdoors amusing stuff in the White Mountains will keep you coming back many times. South Arm Campground is a good local campground; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Rapid River. Yeah, come up here to the White Mountains for a magnificent time. Going for a hike on the Old Speck Mountain Trail is always a great adventure; Richardson Lake is a nearby lake that you could visit.
