Maxy Brook is a glorious spot to explore, and you can run the rapids of Schoodic Stream. This lake is so wonderful. King's Trailer Park is a splendid campground nearby; after a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a nice site to spend a night or two. Through the warmest       time of the year at Pond Farm Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; overnight lows at Pond Farm Pond during the winter ordinarily dip into the 0's. At Pond Farm Pond you always meet someone from Bangor, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby                  called the Shore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Shore Road Trail.
