Winthrop Motel is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and get covered with water paddling on Sandy River. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do near Pocasset Lake. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect location to spend a night or two; Pickerel Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. While you're here at Pocasset Lake you can take a hike along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Lake a quite wet site; November is the wettest month with most rain while February is frequently the driest month. Lost Valley is a tremendous local ski area, and if you're here, you could also pop by beautiful Androscoggin Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Manter Hill is a peak you can see from Pocasset Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Maple Lane Inn & Golf Club is a pleasant way to kill some time. Don't forget to take a pleasant little tour to Hales Brook,
and Wayne Village Dam is an exciting thing to check out. During the warm months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Pocasset Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime
this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows at Pocasset Lake all through the wintertime generally drop into the 0's.
