Go for a hike on the Chase Carry, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Smith Brook. Musquacook Stream is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Pleasant Lake, and the top of Pleasant Mountain is easily observed from Pleasant Lake. This is no spot for people       who don’t like to have a good time. A pleasant close by hotel is Lodge at Moosehead Lake. Pleasant Lake gets a typical amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February. At Pleasant Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Pleasant                  Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
