It's always fun to stop by Piper Pond. Piper Pond frequently gets much precipitation; all through July this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. Wildwood Shores Campground is a great campground nearby, and the Gulf Hagas Trail offers hiking at its best. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Piscataquis River; Thorn Brook is in close proximity to Piper Pond and is always a bliss to stop at.

| | Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a good place to get some rest; there's magnificent hiking along the Intake Trail. For the duration of the warm months here at Piper Pond, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Piper Pond. This lake is so wonderful.

after a long day outdoors Pittsfield Motor Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area close to Piper Pond has to offer. Hiking is a popular thing to do around
Piper Pond; Big Squaw Mountain Trail is a splendid local trail; Whetstone Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Kingsbury Stream for all you adrenaline kick people; one of the major marks of the surroundings of Piper Pond is Brown Hill.
