    Pike Pond is a lake worth visiting. For the period of the days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Pike Pond, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Pike Pond are in the 0's. If you came for an overnight stay Wilde Pines Campground is a nice spot to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski! Bigrock  
   is a splendid site to do that, and get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of B Stream.
Pike Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is February. Don't leave Pike Pond without first going for a hike along the Kennedy Tote Road, and there's always Pike Pond Dam to go to near Pike Pond. There's good hiking along the Potters Trail, and after a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Houlton is a
 
               fine place to spend a night or two.
Having a fine time at Pike Pond is simple. Go for a hike on the Pierce Tote Road; don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Lamb Brook. This lake is so wonderful. My Brothers Place is a perfect campground nearby, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Meduxnekeag River - South Branch.
