     Hiking is a popular thing to do around Pierce Pond; Bald Mountain Trail is a magnificent local trail, and a great vista of picturesque Montgomery Mountain is available. The amount of rain that falls at Pierce Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is November, and the driest month is February. Pierce Pond is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Whispering Pines Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. This lake is  
   so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Fort Knox Inn; swamps like Great Heath close to Pierce Pond make for good places to stop at.
So much cool stuff to do at Pierce Pond, so little time. You can run the rapids of Narramissic River in the vicinity of Pierce Pond, and while you're here you can play some golf at Bucksport Golf Club. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Little Pond, and why not a little side
 
               trip to Mill Brook. Not far from Pierce Pond, you'll hit upon Wight Pond which is a beautiful lake, and why not go to Bridges Point also while you're here.
Goose Falls is a great whitewater spot close to Pierce Pond. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Pierce Pond has to offer, you can camp at Shady Oaks Campground and Cabins. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Baits Motel is a good choice; there's glorious hiking along the Blue Hill Trail. For the period of the warm months highs here at Pierce Pond get into the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Pierce Pond through the wintertime regularly drop into the 0's.

Wooded lakeside campground with water activities, game room, store, laundry, free hot showers and free Wi-Fi.  Relax by your campfire or explore Bar Harbor, 26 miles away.  Ft. Knox in Bucksport is only 5 miles south. We are located on Toddy Pond, a 10 mile lake with great fishing and boating.  The lake offers pickerel, large mouth bass, trout, sun fish, salmon and more. We have powered pontoon boats, fishing boat rentals, kayaks, canoes and paddle boats.  We are a family campground.  Pets are welcome at an extra cost. Friday night is movie night.  Saturday morning arts and crafts for children, Saturday afternoons Candy Bingo and Saturday night bonfire at the waterfront (weather permitting). Hay rides both Friday and Saturday nights. Christmas in July, the 3rd weekend of July and Halloween in August the 3rd weekend in August.  Come and listen to the loons.  If you do not own a camper, come and stay in one of our rustic cabins or one of our rental campers.  Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful setting....
