     Malcome Bog is an exciting swamp near Pickerel Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a great choice. Yeah, come here to Pickerel Pond for a magnificent time. Do pop by Little Pickerel Pond in the vicinity of Pickerel Pond, it's a lovely lake, and a pretty lake like Farrow Lake is a great place to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Maine Wilderness Camps is a good local campground, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can  
   always go whitewater paddling on Baskahegan Stream. Pickerel Pond is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Greenland Cove Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby, and Grand Lake Stream has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot close by.
Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 70's at Pickerel Pond while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's
 
               with temperatures at Pickerel Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. The summit of Farrow Mountain can be observed from Pickerel Pond, and getting to Woodcock Brook from Pickerel Pond is easy.
All the water falling down from the sky makes Pickerel Pond a wet place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . ...
