Pickerel Pond without first going for a hike along the Hardy Pond Trail; a nice spot to camp here at Pickerel Pond is Villa Vaughn Campground. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the nice skiing at New Hermon Mountain,
and good hiking is available along the Scutaze Trail. This place, Pickerel Pond, it just has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Pug Pond close to Pickerel Pond, and camping at
Pushaw Lake Campground is always a great experience. All the water falling down from the sky makes Pickerel Pond a wet place; through November this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.
