Many people like to go to Pickerel Pond. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Titcomb, and after a long day outdoors Winthrop Motel is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. An out of the ordinary thing to take a look at close to Pickerel Pond is Lovejoy Pond Dam, and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is a fine hiking trail close by. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Pickerel Pond has to offer, you can camp at Beaver Brook Campground, and hey, Gotta

| | ski right? Lost Valley is a great place to do that. If you like the outdoors, you'll love Pickerel Pond. Pickerel Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Five Seasons Campground is a great place to camp nearby, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Lewiston-Auburn. This lake is so wonderful. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Sandy River. Lakes are brilliant; Lovejoy Pond is a lake that's next to Pickerel Pond. | |

For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Pickerel Pond reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are commonly in the 20's; through the dark hours in the
winter at Pickerel Pond temperatures descend to the 0's. It's a nice idea to go to Hales Brook, it's near Pickerel Pond, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Pocasset Lake. This lake is
so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Cobbosseecontee Stream, and dry warm beds await you at Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn. Pickerel Pond gets much water; the month of November is
the wettest with most of the rain, and February is when it's the driest. Oak Hill is clearly visible from Pickerel Pond.
