     Pickerel Pond is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Lost Valley; dry warm beds await you at Winthrop Motel. There's so much to do here at Pickerel Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Beaver Brook Campground is a good location for that, and if you need a spot to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a great choice. During the warm days of summer at Pickerel Pond highs are mostly in the 70's.  
   Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Pickerel Pond tend to be in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Pickerel Pond is right by the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Pickerel Pond gets a lot of water; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. At Pickerel Pond you can catch a sight of
 
               Oak Hill; whitewater paddling is good on Sandy River.
Skiing at Titcomb is one of those things you just must do, and you'll meet a lot of people from Lewiston-Auburn here. Hales Brook flows through this neighborhood, and at Lovejoy Pond Dam in the vicinity of Pickerel Pond there are some interesting things to see. This spot is so good, just look at all the enjoyable things to do close to Pickerel Pond. Paddling on Cobbosseecontee Stream is so much fun, and you can stay the night at Five Seasons Campground.
