     The beauty of Pickerel Pond attracts many people from all around. On a nice day at Pickerel Pond you can take a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Union River - West Branch offers some glorious whitewater. While you're here at Pickerel Pond you can take a hike along the Old Gold Mine Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sunkhaze Stream. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay University Inn Academic  
   Suites is a tremendous choice, and if you came for an overnight stay Parks Pond Campground is a tremendous place to camp.
This lake is so wonderful. Bear Den Hill can be distinguished from Pickerel Pond, and Red Barn RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby. Pickerel Pond mostly gets lots of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is February.
Summertime highs at Pickerel Pond typically
 
               tend to be in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Pickerel Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Don't forget to take a perfect little journey to Wiley Brook, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail. Pickerel Pond is a place with many visitors from Bangor; you're probably addicted to lakes, Crocker Pond is one of those nearby.
This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. A magnificent nearby hotel is Best Western Black Bear Inn & Conference Center, and needless to say, this is a nice region for folks who like lakes, Dollar Pond is a lake around here.
