Good hiking is available along the Fox Brook Trail, and there are other places here than Petes Pond, for example Big Brook Lake. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is fine on Big Brook River; a brilliant site to       camp here at Petes Pond is Lakeview Campgrounds. From a rain point of view Petes Pond is a rather common site; through August this area sees the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Lakes? Sure, Sag Pond is close by, and camping is available at Little Black Check Point. Through the days of summer at Petes Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's, and the night is a bit colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's.
