Sag Pond is a pleasant lake right next door to Petes Pond, and camping at Petes Pond is nice fun, Little Black Check Point is a nice local campground. The Fox Brook Trail offers hiking at its best; get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Musquacook Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Petes Pond is right by the Rocky Mountain Trail; dry warm beds await you at Cross Rock Inn. Petes Pond gets a normal amount       of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do in the vicinity of Petes Pond. If you need a place to stay Hunter's Inn is a good choice. High temperatures at Petes Pond all through the long summer days are in the 70's, and the night is rather chillier of course, typically in the 50's.
