Going for a hike on the Island Pond Trail is always a glorious adventure. There is a nice hiking trail near Perch Pond called the Fox Brook Trail, and you can run the rapids of Fish River. This lake is so wonderful. Pelletier's Campground is a splendid campground nearby; there are nice spots to explore along the Round Trail. Perch Pond Dam is not far at all from Perch Pond, and Big Brook River is a glorious       whitewater spot nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. You're most likely into lakes, Upper Pond is one of those nearby, and Perch Pond is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Little Black Check Point is a tremendous place to camp nearby. From a rain point of view Perch Pond is a relatively typical location; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest.
