Stillwater River, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail. During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 70's at Penobscot River Reservoir. Summer overnight lows plunge down
to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Penobscot River Reservoir. A good nearby hotel is University Inn Academic Suites; everybody close by loves skiing at New Hermon Mountain.
Why not have a look at close by Great Works Stream if you're here at Penobscot River Reservoir, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Old Gold Mine Trail. While you're here at Penobscot River Reservoir you can take
a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail, and a splendid forest close by is University Forest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Penobscot River Reservoir a wet site; November is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
