Stillwater River, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail.
During the long summer days, highs usually are in the 70's at Penobscot River Reservoir. Summer overnight lows plunge down
to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Penobscot River Reservoir. A good nearby hotel is University Inn Academic Suites; everybody close by loves skiing at New Hermon Mountain.
