High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Penobscot River Reservoir descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Schoodic Stream, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Hardy Pond Trail. Emerson Runaround is a perfect local stream, and needless to say, this is a pleasant vicinity for people who like lakes, Pond Farm Pond is a lake around here.
