     There's some exciting stuff to see at Bangor Dam in the neighborhood of Penobscot River Reservoir, and if you need a site to stay Courtyard Bangor is a wonderful choice. From a rain point of view Penobscot River Reservoir is a relatively common site; November is the month that gets the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Lakes are nice; Penobscot River Reservoir is a lake that's in the vicinity of Penobscot River Reservoir, and Penobscot  
   River Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Wheeler Stream Campground is a tremendous local campground. Going for a hike along the Old Gold Mine Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; there are some nice whitewater spots on Penobscot River.
Here at Penobscot River Reservoir there are plenty of people from Bangor, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; New Hermon Mountain is pretty near. And that's not all
 
               you can do here at Penobscot River Reservoir. Have a good hiking adventure along the Bald Mountain Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Kenduskeag Stream offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. You're in all probability addicted to lakes, Penobscot River Reservoir is one of those nearby, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail.
A great spot to camp here at Penobscot River Reservoir is Pleasant Hill Campground, and don't forget to take a nice little visit to Felts Brook. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Rocky Knoll Country Club is always a pleasure, and a brilliant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Bangor. Summertime highs at Penobscot River Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Penobscot River Reservoir all through the wintertime mostly fall into the 0's.
That right there is a load already, but it keeps on going; Penobscot River Reservoir has it all.

Pushaw Lake Campground is located on Pushaw Lake in Orono, Maine. It is an 8 mile long lake with wonderful swimming and fishing. Knox in Bucksport is only 5 miles south. We are located on Toddy Pond, a 10 mile lake with great fishing and boating.  The lake offers pickerel, large mouth bass, trout, sun fish, salmon and more.
