If you are in Penobscot county it's always a good idea to stop by Penobscot River Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Kenduskeag Stream, and the Old Gold Mine Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there a load of entertaining things to do in the neighborhood of Penobscot River Reservoir. There's nice hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail, and while you're here you can play some golf at Rocky Knoll Country Club. The amount of rainfall

Pleasant Hill Campground is a great local campground; at Bangor Dam in close proximity to Penobscot River Reservoir there are some exciting things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side journey to Felts Brook, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Bangor for sure. | |

If you need a place to stay Courtyard Bangor is a tremendous choice. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail, and Brewer Lake is a nice lake nearby. If you came for an overnight stay Wheeler Stream Campground
is a nice place to camp; New Hermon Mountain is a pleasant local ski area. For the duration of the summer months highs here at Penobscot River Reservoir reach the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime
brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Penobscot River Reservoir. Drift down the rapids of Penobscot River in a kayak, and Comfort Inn Bangor is a fine place to get some rest.
