Kenduskeag Stream has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby, and camping is available at Pleasant Hill Campground. Penobscot River Reservoir gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.

Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you're here at Penobscot River Reservoir and you like golf, you can pop by Rocky Knoll Country Club, and there are delightful sites to explore along the Old Gold Mine Trail.
