    If you are in Washington county it's always a good idea to stop by Pennamaquan River Reservoir. During the warm months highs here at Pennamaquan River Reservoir reach the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Pennamaquan River Reservoir temperatures drop to the 0's. A great spot for whitewater paddling in close proximity to Pennamaquan River Reservoir  
   is Cobscook Falls, and do visit Pennamaquan River Reservoir, it's a scenic lake. A quick visit to Crow Brook in close proximity to Pennamaquan River Reservoir is a tremendous idea, and a tremendous panorama of gorgeous Ironworks Mountain is available.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Knowlton's Seashore Campground is a good place to do that, and visiting Roosevelt Campobello International Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
 
               Lower River Dam is a lovely place near Pennamaquan River Reservoir, and while you're here, you could also visit beautiful Boyden Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Dennys River is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Pennamaquan River Reservoir; Pennamaquan River Reservoir is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hilltop Campground is a tremendous local campground. Pennamaquan River Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you're here, you might as well take a look at Herseys Upper Ledge, and Hardy Point is quite close.
