You'll need more than a day to explore everything Peaked Mountain Pond has to offer, you can camp at Sunkhaze Campground. At Peaked Mountain Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's while Peaked Mountain Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This       lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Peaked Mountain Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sunkhaze Campground is a delightful site for that, and Bar Harbor Inn is a good site to get some rest. Peaked Mountain Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here, and June meanwhile is the driest month. From Peaked Mountain Pond you get a great panorama of Patten Hill, and there are some perfect whitewater                  spots on Machias River.
