Head up to Shawnee Peak and strap some skis to your feet. Take a little spree to Douglass Brook if you're here at Peabody Pond, and golf can be played at Naples Golf & Country Club. Pleasant Mountain Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest; don't forget to stop at North Cove if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. A great view of striking Accomac Mountain is available from Peabody Pond,       and in case you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saco River. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Peabody Pond with night lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Peabody Pond. There's always Peabody Lake Mill Dam to visit close to Peabody Pond, and Peabody Pond is not the only place nearby, Holt Pond is a nearby lake. Why not                  camp at Bridgton Pines Cabins and Campground since you're here at Peabody Pond, and after a long day outdoors Oxford House Inn is a great location to spend a night or two. Peabody Pond really is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise. Crooked River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by, and Hemlock Hills Campground is a fine local campground.
