If you need a place to stay Econo Lodge Bangor is a splendid choice; there are some nice whitewater spots on Souadabscook Stream. What would winter be without some skiing at New Hermon Mountain; needless to say Brown Brook flows through this area. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Marsh Stream; Shady Acres RV and Campgrounds is a good campground nearby. Patten Pond       gets a typical amount of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. During the summer months at Patten Pond highs are commonly in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while the cold winter nights at Patten Pond are in the 0's. So much fun stuff to do at Patten Pond, so little time. Stay the night at Pumpkin Patch                  Recreational Vehicle Resort, and Patten Pond is not the only place nearby, Hermon Pond is a nearby lake. A lake nearby is Ben Annis Pond; Hinkley Hill is delightful and can be observed from here. This lake is so wonderful.
