    If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Parks Pond. A normal amount of rain falls here at Parks Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. There is a magnificent hiking trail close to Parks Pond called the Peaked Mountain Trail; Little Peaked Mountain is a peak you can see from Parks Pond. Parks Pond is a location with many visitors from Bangor, and get yourself into  
   a kayak and hit Tannery Brook River.
Go for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Red Barn RV Park is a good place to camp. At Parks Pond throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Parks Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at
 
               Parks Pond Campground, and glide down the rapids of Sunkhaze Stream in a kayak.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay University Inn Academic Suites is a pleasant choice, and a cool spot to take a look at is Eagle Bluff. White Birches Country Club is a great spot to get some rest. This is a nice area for people who like lakes. Cedar Swamp Pond is a lake in close proximity, and why not take a little trip to Bradbury Brook since you're here.
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Going for a hike on the Old Gold Mine Trail is always a nice adventure. Lakes are good; Cranberry Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Parks Pond.
