A visit to Parks Pond is always a good idea. If you need a place to stay University Inn Academic Suites is a glorious choice; Eagle Bluff is something you shouldn't miss while you're here. Stay the night at Parks Pond Campground, and on a wonderful day you get a pleasant vista of Little Peaked Mountain from Parks Pond. A normal amount of rain falls here at Parks Pond; through November this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.

At Parks Pond through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's; the overnight is somewhat cooler of course, commonly in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Parks Pond drop into the 0's. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bradbury Brook, and a fine close by hotel is White Birches Country Club. There are some fine whitewater spots on Sunkhaze Stream, and
there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Old Gold Mine Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You could also take a look at Cranberry Pond while you're here at Parks Pond; it's close by, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Peaked Mountain Trail. The smiling people of Bangor like to hang out nearby. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. There's so much to do here at Parks Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Red Barn RV Park is a fine place for that, and going for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail is always a delightful adventure.
This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something right next door to Parks Pond? Debec Pond is close by; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Tannery Brook River.
