Herbert Grand Hotel is a great place to get some rest; nearby you find the Bigelow Range Trail which is a splendid hiking trail. Lost Pond is a splendid lake near Parker Pond, and Sugarloaf USA is a very popular ski area nearby. A swamp like Spencer Gut near Parker Pond has lots of exciting things to see, and if you come at the right time of year, Spencer Stream offers some magnificent whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. | | hiking trail close to Parker Pond, and Parker Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Jackman Trading Post is a tremendous local campground. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Parker Pond, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Parker Pond. is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. A stunning lake like Spencer Lake next to Parker Pond is a fine location to visit. There's so much to do here at Parker Pond that you need to camp here for a while,
Loon Echo Campground is a pleasant location for that. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Little Spencer Stream; going for a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail is always a fine adventure.
