Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Papoose Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Papoose Pond gets a common amount of yearly rainfall; most of the rain falls all through July, and the driest month is February. Why not take a look at nearby Little Squaw Brook since you're here at Papoose Pond, and hiking along the Number Four Mountain Trail is                  brilliant fun. Take a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail, and the vista of stunning Little Squaw Mountain is fine. This lake is so wonderful. Big Squaw Pond is a wonderful lake near Papoose Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Piscataquis River - East Branch. Lakes? This lake is so wonderful.
