A good site to camp here at Papoose Pond is Casey's Spencer Bay Campground, and Bingham Motor Inn is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Any time is a wonderful time at Papoose Pond if you like the outdoors. On a wonderful day you get a vista of Little Squaw Mountain from Papoose Pond, and there is a pleasant       hiking trail nearby called the Number Four Mountain Trail. Camping at Northern Pride Lodge and Campground is always a wonderful experience, and Piscataquis River - East Branch has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. Summertime highs at Papoose Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's while Papoose Pond overnight low temperatures                  during the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Papoose Pond you can take a hike along the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is good here at Papoose Pond, you can go for a hike along the Intake Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Little Squaw Pond. Papoose Pond gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
