Maine has many beautiful lakes and Papoose Pond is one of them. Papoose Pond is a good place of typical rain; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Papoose Pond is one of the lakes here in the White Mountains. And if that's not enough there's lots more amusing things to do in the White Mountains. Don't leave Papoose Pond without first going for a hike along the Albany Brook Trail, and of course Hemlock Brook

But wait, there's more to do close to Papoose Pond. You're most likely addicted to lakes, McWain Pond is one of those nearby, and Papoose Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Papoose Pond Camping Resort is a magnificent local campground. day you can go to Town Farm Swamp, a swamp close to Papoose Pond; there's wonderful hiking along the Albany Mountain Trail.
Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the White Mountains. Gotta
ski! Mount Abram is a perfect place to do that, and camping at Bear Mountain Village is always a nice experience. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Papoose Pond; Albany Notch Trail is a tremendous local
trail. Lakes are wonderful; Duck Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Papoose Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Pleasant Mountain Inn.
Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Crooked River, and what would
winter be without some skiing at Shawnee Peak. For the period of the warm months at Papoose Pond temperatures are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Papoose Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
