During the winter highs are in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Pamola Pond. Pamola Pond is right by the South Branch Trail, and a great vista of pretty Chimney Peak is available. If you get bored of Pamola Pond, you could also have                  a look at nearby Dry Pond, and get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Nesowadnehunk Stream River. But wait, there's more to do near Pamola Pond. Roaring Brook Campground is a splendid local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Dudley Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
