    If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Paine Pond. Skiing at Shawnee Peak is one of those things you just ought to do; if you came for an overnight stay Vacationland Campground is a delightful location to camp. The summit of Cobble Hill can be distinguished from Paine Pond; a good nearby hotel is The Perennial Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Witt Swamp is a swamp close to Paine Pond, and don't leave Paine Pond without first paying a visit  
   to Bisco Falls.
Why not camp at Two Lakes Camping since you're here at Paine Pond; going for a hike along the Albany Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. Paine Pond is a good place of typical rain; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This location is great, just look at all the enjoyable things to do near Paine Pond. Lakes are such serene spots, why not take a look at Bird
 
               Pond close to Paine Pond; while you're here you can take a hike along the Albany Mountain Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Very striking scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Mount Abram, and since you're here you can play some golf at Norway Country Club. You can run the rapids of Little Androscoggin River close to Paine Pond. At Paine Pond during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Paine Pond descend into the-10's.
Pleasant Mountain Inn is a great spot to get some rest; a delightful lake like Pennesseewassee Lake is a nice place to go to.
