From a precipitation point of view Packard Lake is a quite typical site; the month with most of the rain is July while February is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Bigrock; if you came for an overnight stay Neil E Michaud Campground is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful.       If the weather is splendid here at Packard Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pierce Tote Road, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Sweets Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. The Kennedy Tote Road is a great hiking trail next to Packard Lake; the top of Estabrook Hill is easily seen from Packard Lake. Mars Hill Country Club is a fine golf course close by, and if you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton                  is a fine choice. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Packard Lake get into the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are typically in the 20's while Packard Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's. A splendid location for whitewater paddling next to Packard Lake is Meduxnekeag River - South Branch, and dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn.
