For the duration of the summer months highs here at Packard Lake get into the 70's while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Packard Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Neil E Michaud Campground is a nice campground nearby; magnificent       hiking is available along the Pierce Tote Road. There's whitewater on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers; a round of golf at nearby Mars Hill Country Club is a great way to kill some time. Here at Packard Lake you can make out Estabrook Hill; if you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a delightful choice. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting things the area in the neighborhood of Packard Lake                  has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Shiretown Motor Inn, and Bigrock has good slopes and a friendly staff. There's nice hiking along the Kennedy Tote Road; if you came for an overnight stay Wilde Pines Campground is a tremendous spot to camp. There are some delightful whitewater spots on B Stream, and don't leave Packard Lake without first going for a hike along the Sweets Trail.
