Everybody close by loves skiing at Bigrock; a great close by hotel is Scottish Inns Houlton. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Packard Lake, you'll discover Eastabrook Lake which is a charming lake, and do take a hike on the Kennedy Tote Road. There's so much to do here at Packard Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Neil E Michaud Campground is a magnificent spot for that; since you might       be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Whitehead Lake. The amount of precipitation that falls at Packard Lake is close to the national average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Just can't get enough of Packard Lake. Mars Hill Country Club is a golf course in close proximity to Packard Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pierce Tote Road. Summertime                  highs at Packard Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Packard Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Packard Lake; Sweets Trail is a perfect local trail, and there are some great whitewater spots on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch.
