At Otter Pond during the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Otter Pond dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail near       Otter Pond called the Chase Carry, and Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great location to get some rest. A typical amount of rain falls here at Otter Pond; July is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. You'll find a stunning lake called Lower Ellis Pond near Otter Pond; there's whitewater on Allagash Stream for all you thrill seekers.
