    It's always fun to stop by Otter Pond. There are swamps here too; Mill River is around here; Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park is a tremendous campground nearby. Through the days of summer at Otter Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Otter Pond are in the 10's. Dry warm beds await you at Whitehall Inn, and why not  
   a little side trip to Gully Brook.
If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Otter Pond. Hit the beach if you want, Clayfers Beach is practically right here, and Otter Pond is right by the Trail Point Trail. Otter Pond is a wet location that gets a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is July.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Otter Pond. Otter Pond
 
               is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Duck Harbor Campground is a great spot to camp nearby; the skiing at Camden is great. This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Goose Falls, and if you need a place to stay Camden Harbour Inn is a great choice. You can spot Basin High Mountain from Otter Pond, and you can have a glorious hiking adventure along the Western Head Trail.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ducktrap River; nothing beats kicking back at Indian Camp Beach. The Basin is in the vicinity of Otter Pond and is a magnificent place to have a look at; hiking along the Ebens Head Trail is tremendous fun. This lake is so wonderful. A fine location next to Otter Pond is Green Ledge, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Rockland for sure.
