Whitewater paddling is perfect on Pleasant River, and a pleasant visit to The Middle Grounds is a good way to spend an afternoon. A large amount of rainfall falls at Oak Pond; most of the rain falls through November while June is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn. Lakes are nice; Barren Pond is a lake that's next to Oak Pond. There's so much to do here at Oak Pond that you need to camp here

During the summertime months at Oak Pond highs are mostly in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. Clifford Lake
 | 16 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
