     Whitewater paddling is perfect on Pleasant River, and a pleasant visit to The Middle Grounds is a good way to spend an afternoon. A large amount of rainfall falls at Oak Pond; most of the rain falls through November while June is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Bar Harbor Inn. Lakes are nice; Barren Pond is a lake that's next to Oak Pond.
There's so much to do here at Oak Pond that you need to camp here
 
   for a while, Sunset Point Campground is a great spot for that, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mopang Stream. During the summertime months at Oak Pond highs are mostly in the 70's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are typically in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Oak Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. There's just no  
               way anyone can get bored here at Oak Pond. Good hiking is available along the Lead Mountain Trail, and a quick spree to Barren Pond Brook is definitely a magnificent idea.
If you came to camp Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a great location to do that, and as expected, this is a perfect area for people who like lakes, Hadley Lakes is a lake nearby.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
