Nutting Pond is a nice lake to visit. Be careful coming to Nutting Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Go for a hike on the Bemis Trail; why not take a little tour to Rangeley River if you're here. Nutting Pond is a beautiful lake in the White Mountains. This place, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting stuff. There's so much to do here at Nutting Pond that you need to camp here for a while, North Camps is a tremendous place for

| | that; perfect hiking is available along the Bemis Stream Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dead River - South Branch has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by, and Nutting Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cupsuptic Campground is a pleasant local campground. whitewater paddling on Kennebago River, needless to say you could also have a look at Quimby Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Milrose Trail is always a brilliant adventure,
and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Saddleback since you're here. During the summer months here at Nutting Pond, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
The winter comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows throughout the winter for Nutting Pond tend to be in the-10's. So many amusing things to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. There's some exciting stuff to see at
Rangeley Lake Dam right next door to Nutting Pond, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Black Mountain. Swamps don’t sound that great but Hayno Bog close to Nutting Pond is reasonably great, and almost certainly you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Ellis Pond is just a very short distance away.

Bugeye Pond
 | 18 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
