     A tremendous place for whitewater paddling next to Nutter Pond is Sheepscot River; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn WATERVILLE is a nice choice. Camping is available at Cozy Pines Campground, and one of the overriding marks of the surroundings of Nutter Pond is Sanford Hill. Nutter Pond gets a normal amount of rain; through November this area sees the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Chisholm  
   Pond is around here, and St. George River is a good whitewater spot close by.
A great place to camp here at Nutter Pond is Pine Ridge Campgrounds; dry warm beds await you at Pittsfield Motor Inn. This place, Nutter Pond, it definitely has so much outdoors cool stuff. There are other places here than Nutter Pond, for example Belden Pond. Summertime highs at Nutter Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The
 
               cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Nutter Pond drop into the 0's.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
