Number Eight Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the White Mountains. Take a hike on the Albany Mountain Trail; dry warm beds await you at The Bethel Inn Resort. Nearby Albany Notch is a pleasant place to go if you're at Number Eight Pond, and paddling on Crooked River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. The amount of rain that falls at Number Eight Pond is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is January. on Lombard Pond which is a picturesque lake. If you need a place to stay Chapman Inn is a nice choice, and do pop by Virginia Lake Dam while you're here. But wait, there's more to do near Number Eight Pond. Stay the night at Pleasant
River Campground, and there's some flowing water nearby, Bartlett Brook is a stream you can explore while you're here. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Number Eight Pond, and through the night it cools down
to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and night lows at Number Eight Pond through the winter frequently drop into the 0's. Here at Number Eight Pond you can see Albany Mountain, and why
