A common amount of rain falls here at Norton Pond; throughout July this area sees the most rain while February is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Schoodic Stream has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby, and while you're here, do take a spree to Chase Cove. In case       you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pleasant River - East Branch, and Jo-mary Lake Campground is a nice campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough, there's loads more to do near Norton Pond. Norton Pond is not the only location close by, Jaquith Pond is a close by lake, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Norton Trail. During the summer highs here at Norton                  Pond get into the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Norton Pond. Stay the night at South Branch Lake Camp; the cheerful people of Bangor like to hang out close by.
