North Pond is a lake worth visiting. The amount of rainfall that falls at North Pond is close to the national average; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is February. There is a glorious hiking trail next to North Pond called the Island Pond Trail; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Fish River. This lake is so wonderful.

Man, is there a heap of exciting things to do in close proximity to North Pond. Camping at Little Black Check Point is always a great experience, and after a long day outdoors Cross Rock Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lakeview Campgrounds, and at North Pond you can make out Gardner Mountain. There are some fine whitewater spots on Big Brook River, and not far from North Pond
you get some good water scenery at Perch Pond Dam. High temperatures at North Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the
wintertime are in the 10's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at North Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's.
