Whitewater paddling is great on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch; you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Longley Lake. Get wet paddling on Baskahegan Stream, and why not camp at Mountain View Campground if you're here at North Lake. Yeah, come here to North Lake for a glorious time. While you're here at North Lake, you could also stop by pretty Longfellow Lake, and a wonderful nearby hotel is       Scottish Inns Houlton. North Lake is a good spot of normal precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. After a long day outdoors Shiretown Motor Inn is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two; hiking along the Potters Trail is wonderful fun. Throughout the days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at North Lake with nighttime lows in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's,                  and nighttime lows in the 0's for North Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dead Brook is near North Lake and is always a diversion to check out; a glorious place to camp here at North Lake is Greenland Cove Campground.   Scottish Inns Houlton, Houlton 15 miles away Our Motel is in the center of the Houlton area.
