After a long day outdoors Scottish Inns Houlton is a great location to spend a night or two, and a lake nearby is Longley Lake. Float down the rapids of Baskahegan Stream in a kayak, and you can stay the night at Greenland Cove Campground. North Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the       month with the least amount of precipitation. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area close to North Lake has to offer. Paddling on Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is so much fun; nearby you find the Potters Trail which is a great hiking trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to North Lake while overnight lows are generally in the 50's. Highs all through the wintertime are regularly in the 20's, and night                  lows during the winter for North Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. You could also stop by Longfellow Lake if you're here at North Lake; it's nearby. There's so much to do here at North Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain View Campground is a great place for that.   Scottish Inns Houlton, Houlton 15 miles away Our Motel is in the center of the Houlton area.
