Summertime highs at North Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows at North Lake throughout the winter mostly fall into the 0's. North Lake gets a typical amount of annual rain; during August this area sees the most rain while February       is mostly the driest month. A fine close by hotel is Shiretown Motor Inn, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Baskahegan Stream. If you need a place to stay Scottish Inns Houlton is a great choice, and Meduxnekeag River - South Branch is a great whitewater spot close by. Dead Brook is a stream that you may run into while you're here. There's so much to do here at North Lake that you need to camp here                  for a while, Greenland Cove Campground is a good location for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Potters Trail, and if you came to camp Mountain View Campground is a glorious place to do that.   Scottish Inns Houlton, Houlton 15 miles away Our Motel is in the center of the Houlton area.
