Coon Hill is clearly visible from Nichols Pond, and Hurds Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. An average amount of rainfall falls at Nichols Pond; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Nichols Pond that you need to camp here for a while, The Moorings Campground is a nice place for that; if you need a site to stay Seascape Motel & Cottages is a perfect choice. water scenery at Hurds Pond Dam. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood of Nichols Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Rockland here. At Nichols Pond throughout the summertime months highs are in
the 70's; the night is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Nichols Pond through the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
The skiing at New Hermon Mountain is good; dry warm beds await you at Londonderry Inn. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Camden is close to Nichols Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail.
You can run the rapids of Marsh Stream next to Nichols Pond, and if you get bored of Nichols Pond you could also check out nearby Toddy Pond.
