An average amount of rainfall falls at Nichols Pond; the month with most of the rain is November; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Goose River; Nichols Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Moorings Oceanfront RV Resort is a great local campground. An afternoon playing golf       at Searsport Pines Golf Course is always a diversion; the Spring Brook Trail offers hiking at its best. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. There's so much to do here at Nichols Pond that you need to camp here for a while, The Moorings Campground is a nice place for that; if you need a site to stay Seascape Motel & Cottages is a perfect choice. Nichols Pond is right by the Mount Battie Trail, and not far from Nichols Pond you acquire some fine                  water scenery at Hurds Pond Dam. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood of Nichols Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Rockland here. At Nichols Pond throughout the summertime months highs are in the 70's; the night is a tad cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Nichols Pond through the winter mostly plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at New Hermon Mountain is good; dry warm beds await you at Londonderry Inn. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Camden is close to Nichols Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Mount Megunticook Trail.
