You'll need more than a day to explore everything Nicatous Lake has to offer, you can camp at Cold Spring Campground. Nicatous Lake frequently gets much precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. While you're here at Nicatous Lake, you could also visit beautiful West Lake, and as expected Porter       Brook flows through this region. Do pop by Abarngamook Lake in close proximity to Nicatous Lake, it's a charming lake, and there are some good whitewater spots on Nicatous Stream. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the Lead Mountain Trail; you are right next door to Porter Cove if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may feel that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Nicatous Lake. Don't leave Nicatous                  Lake without first going for a hike along the Eagle Lake Trail, and there's whitewater on Passadumkeag River for all you adrenaline junkies. High temperatures at Nicatous Lake throughout the warm months are in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Nicatous Lake.
